Financing Options for Construction and Remodeling Projects

Provider-Controlled Pay-Over-Time Options for Eligible Project Types

Some Cornerstone projects may qualify for pay-over-time financing through third-party providers. Approval, rates, terms, and availability are controlled by the provider — not by Cornerstone. This page explains what is available, which project types may be eligible, and what to prepare before bringing financing questions to an estimate conversation.

Available Providers

Cornerstone's checkout currently supports financing through three providers. Availability is subject to change based on each provider's current participation.

Affirm — Pay-over-time plans with terms set at checkout. Approval and rates depend on the applicant and the transaction.

Klarna — Split-payment and financing options determined by Klarna at the point of purchase. Eligibility varies.

Afterpay — Pay-in-four and extended payment options controlled by Afterpay's approval process.

Each provider makes its own approval decision. Seeing a provider listed here or at checkout does not guarantee that your application will be approved or that specific rates or terms will be offered.

Which Project Types May Be Eligible

Financing questions are most relevant for larger contractor-led projects where the total cost is high enough that pay-over-time options make a practical difference. Eligible project types may include:

  • Roof replacement or major roofing work
  • Kitchen remodeling and bathroom remodeling
  • Whole-home or custom remodeling
  • Cabinet installation, countertop installation, and flooring
  • Deck, fence, and concrete projects
  • Restoration and water-damage repair
  • Other eligible service types at checkout

Not every project type or transaction will show financing options. Provider availability depends on the service, the transaction amount, and the provider's current participation.

Provider Approval, Rates, Terms, and Limits

Cornerstone does not approve, deny, set rates for, or guarantee any financing outcome. Every financing decision is made by the provider.

What the provider controls:

  • Whether the application is approved or denied
  • The interest rate, repayment term, and monthly payment amount
  • The minimum and maximum transaction amounts eligible for financing
  • Any fees, penalties, or conditions attached to the plan
  • Whether financing is available for the specific project type and transaction

What Cornerstone controls:

  • Which providers are currently enabled at checkout
  • The project scope and estimate that determines the transaction amount

If a provider declines the application or offers terms that do not work for you, that is between you and the provider. Cornerstone cannot override a provider's decision.

What to Prepare Before Discussing Financing

Financing works best when it is part of the project conversation, not a separate question. Before bringing up pay-over-time options, prepare:

Project details first:

  • The service type and rough scope of work
  • The property address or city
  • Plans, photos, or measurements if available
  • Target timing and any phasing considerations
  • A general budget range or spending ceiling if you have one

Then the financing question:

  • Whether pay-over-time options would change the scope, phasing, or timing of the project
  • Whether you want to explore financing before or after receiving the estimate
  • Any questions about which providers may be available for your project type

Call 801-389-3161 or email info@cornerstoneconstructionremodeling.com to start the estimate conversation. Bring the financing question with you — it is easier to address once the scope and estimate are on the table.
